Welcome to HALESWORTH & DISTRICT u3a. Set up over 20 years ago, we are a registered charity with over 450 members. We are a lively and friendly group, offering a wide range of creative, study, physical and leisure activities to inspire and motivate. The u3a is an exciting self-improvement movement that gives you the opportunity to have fun, develop your interests, share your skills and make new friends.

For more details of the 40 plus Interest Groups we currently offer please click Groups and if your particular interest isn’t covered, why not set up your own new group!

Joining is easy: anyone no longer in full-time work can join – there are no other entry qualifications and you can take part in as many groups and activities as you like. All this for a very modest annual fee of £15 per annum (our year runs from 1 September to 31 August each year). Don’t delay, join today. Please press Membership to complete our online New Member application form.

About us: we are run by a small committee elected at the AGM every October and are affiliated with the national Third Age Trust which provides a wealth of information and support. We are always looking for new volunteers to support our u3a in many various roles from helping at events, running an interest group or becoming a committee member.

If you are interested in any form of volunteering, please contact Rachael De Souza, the committee member responsible for Publicity – Press and Media, by sending her a message via the Contact page on the website.

To find out more about our groups and how to contact them, please take a few minutes to explore the website and if you have any queries please let us know either via the Contact page or come along to the next monthly coffee morning at the Café at the Cut Arts Centre? We look forward to welcoming you to our u3a.
