There will be 53 seats on the coach priced at £10 each for members only which represents free transport and a substantial discount on the entry price.

In addition there are a few tickets for sale at £10 that are intended for people who are NOT travelling on the coach. These are for our Beccles and other members who are making their own travel arrangements. For them the ticket represents reduced entry to the castle. Please ensure that the box office know you are requesting an entry only ticket.

Points to note:

i) Steve at the Box Office will be away from 28^th May to 16^th June and there will only be sporadic phone bookings available during that time.  Best to book before or after Steve’s holiday!

ii) If you possess an Art Pass and a Bus Pass you have both free transport and free entry to the Castle so you may wish to visit the Castle at another time!  See the Castle web site for other Museum concessions.

The day in Norwich

The coach will leave Halesworth at 09:30 from the Angel South car park. We will leave Norwich at 4pm to return to Halesworth.

Your ticket will entitle you to free entry to the Castle Museum for the day. Of course the main attraction is the completely redesigned and furnished castle keep and the excellent new Gallery of Medieval Life on the ground floor. However there are also all the other galleries to enjoy including the galleries of archaeology, natural history, regimental history and fine, decorative and contemporary art.

The restaurant facilities within the castle are rather limited however there are many cafes and restaurants close to the castle as well as direct access to the Food Court in Castle Mall shopping centre. 

We are sure that this will be a popular day out and we urge you to book and pay as soon as possible.
