AIMS: From the first recording of 'jass' in 1917 to the latest 2026 releases we aim to broaden our understanding and enjoyment of jazz. Members take it in turn each month to select their choice of music and present it at our meetings. Programmes will be published on this web page in advance of each session.
ACTIVITIES: Listening to jazz on the U3A's hi-fi system followed by discussion.

PROGRAMME FOR 18th MAY: Our session on 18th May will be led by Tony Brown. and will be on The Beatles and Jazz. The Beatles are considered by many to be the most creative band of the twentieth century who had influence on musical genres far beyond their own. In this session Tony Brown will look at the influence they had on jazz.
