AIMS: From the first recording of 'jass' in 1917 to the latest 2026 releases we aim to broaden our understanding and enjoyment of jazz. Members take it in turn each month to select their choice of music and present it at our meetings. Programmes will be published on this web page in advance of each session.
ACTIVITIES: Listening to jazz on the U3A's hi-fi system followed by discussion.

PROGRAMME FOR 21st SEPTEMBER: Our next session on 21st September will be led by Richard Lumb and will feature Bix Beiderbecke, one of the most influential jazz soloists of the 1920s, a cornet player noted for an inventive lyrical approach and purity of tone.
