Our Group:
We formed in May 2014 with six members, five of whom are still very active in the group today. Now up to 20 plus we enjoying playing together weekly and also playing out at country shows and charity events; see the future events list below.

Aims:
To enjoy making music together. We play a wide range of music, current favourites include Status Quo, Dr Hook, Fishermans’ Friends and George Ezra.

Ukuleles:
We play a mix of mainly acoustic instruments, from Soprano to Bass, and several banjoleles.

Would you like to join us?
Ideally you already own and play a ukulele, you will also need a tablet for our play lists and a stand, but we can loan you paper copies of music if necessary. If you do not have a ukulele, but would like to try one, we have several between us, which you could borrow to see which size fits you best. An ability to sing would be an asset but it is surprising how many of us have found our voices since joining the group.

We are primarily a group singing a wide repertoire of familiar songs including folk, pop songs and songs from the Shows, all accompanied by our ukuleles.

At present we are seeking an additional one or two bass and tenor voices to augment our line-up. Although we do not offer tuition as part of our sessions, we will happily give tips and advice and there may be one or two players who can offer more detailed advice. We do have a few instruments we can loan to get you started and then you will want to buy your own instrument, however the emphasis is on the joy of singing.

Why not join us for a taster session? You will be made very welcome and you will buddy up with one of our regular members who will show you the ropes.

Forthcoming Events

We have a number of gigs planned across the District during the summer. Our most recent local engagements include entertaining Suffolk Sight in the Coop Community room. We will be busking for charity outside I-Chameleon on the 7th July, Fressingfield Produce Market on the 18th July as well as “Huntingfield Hubfest” on the 1st August, Framlingham Country Show on the 23rd August and Henham Steam Rally on the 9th September.
